Sample Timeline Project

Close collaboration throughout each project with our in-house commissioning team allows us the ability to assess project commissionability as we model, ensuring that adequate means of system regulation and access are considered.

As well as other software, AIS primarily use a suite of Autodesk products including:
 - Revit (2015, 2016 & 2017)
 - Navisworks Manage
 - Fabrication parts plug-in

Some of the services offered include:

 - BIM Management

 - New build construction project modelling

 - Renovation project modelling

 - M&E coordinated modelling

 - M&E design modelling (4A-4C)

 - Retrospective modelling

 - Production of site installation drawings

 - Production of off-site pre-fabrication drawings

 - Production of asset information models (AIM)

 - Clash detection and resolution/rendition work

We also offer 4D, 5D & 6D BIM services including:

 - Construction phasing

 - Programming and timeliner simulation

 - Cost projection and planning

 - On-site field use of BIM

Key benefits:

Improved visualisation

Modelling and viewing a project in the 3-Dimensional digital environment allows the opportunity for greater collaboration and coordination, contributing to a smoother project delivery process. This service allows the design team to present building solutions to a client at the outset of a project, while at the same time, providing engineers with a platform in which to co-ordinate both space and services in 3D.

Coordination

As modern buildings become more complex and heavily serviced, it is becoming increasingly difficult to coordinate their installation on site. By coordinating the various elements off-site, time can be saved during installation, reducing the risk of clashes and potential costly re-works.

This coordination process also allows the installation sequence to be understood, allowing consideration to be made in terms of appropriate access for future maintenance as well as the potential health and safety implications facing the installers.

Pre-fabrication

The production of a detailed coordinated model can facilitate the production of pre-fabrication drawings, allowing both building services and architectural elements to be manufactured off-site. This method of construction embraces many benefits, and by limiting the amount of time spent on site, the construction of certain elements can be carried out in a controlled environment, with no interference from other trades. The use of a Project Information Model to coordinate the various trades can allow this process to be carried out with a great deal of efficiency.

Asset Information Model (AIM)

The difficult process of managing construction project related information can be made easier with the use of BIM. All of the information relating to a construction project can be embedded into the Project Information Model (PIM) as it develops, which, at the end of the project, can be developed into an Asset Information Model (AIM). This process eliminates the need for the production, handover and storage of traditional bulky operation and maintenance manuals.

AIS Ltd offer a wide range of BIM related support services to all sectors of the construction industry, whether this be collaboratively supporting our clients' existing BIM infrastructure on a project, or carrying out complete standalone project work.

Specialising in M&E coordinated modelling, we use our 35 years contract management experience as well as our technical knowledge in order to provide engineered solutions to potential problems. This allows issues to be resolved in the digital environment, rather than on site, where they can be resolved without great cost or delay to the contract.
